Experience the magic of the Sahara with our Camel Trek Sunset Tour! Departing at 5:30pm, embark on a camel ride to Erg Chebbi's majestic sand dunes. From there, a short walk takes you to Merzouga's highest dune, offering panoramic views. Choose to climb for an even more breathtaking sight or stay below to soak in the sunset. Afterward, we return to the village before nightfall, with a stop at a desert garden for insights into the canal system. Don't miss this unforgettable desert adventure!

Merzouga Sunset Tour itinerary 

Camel Trek Sunset Tour Planning The Sunset tour begins around 5:30pm.

It takes almost half an hour to reach the sand dunes of Erg Chebbi riding on top a camel. Then, we will leave the camels, travel by foot about 80 meters to reach the highest dune of Merzouga.

For those who want to see a panoramic view they must climb to the top, it will take them another 10 minutes.

If you prefer not to hike up the highest dunes, the area around the camel “parking” is perfect to watch the sunset.

After having enjoyed this short time we travel back to the village before dark.

This tour includes a stop at the garden where you will have a short explanation about the canal system of the desert.
